OLGA - a sweetie!

As you can see, Olga is looking for a permanent home.  She is a young (3-4 yr old) spayed female who was found as a stray.  At the shelter, she kept looking for her people, but they didn't come.  She then came into our rescue and showed us all that she is one super gal, eager to meet you and give you hugs.  She decided the crate was OK and rode well in it but she preferred the car seat !  She needs a home with people who love her and will keep her safe.  That includes making sure she has a fenced yard for exercise and a great home for hugging.  If you are ready to adopt a beautiful girl with energy to keep you active, please click here to fill out an application to adopt.  You won't be sorry to bring this girl into your life.

 BUTTERCUP
Sweet, petite!

Buttercup is a cute little girl, about 4 years old, who came in from West Virginia.  She and her sister, Missy, have been together all their lives and would be a great pair to adopt.  Each one does well on her own and both LOVE people.   Buttercup is Miss Outgoing.   She is very quick to get to know people and is said to be OK with cats. She is the alpha of the pair (that's her pushing Missy around) but is not an overly alpha dog.   She rides well in a car and is only about 35 lbs.   To apply to adopt this beautiful little girl, click here and fill out the application.

Think you might want two? Check out her sister Missy.

MISSY

Little Missy is the shyer and more submissive of the 4 year old pair of girls who found themselves in a shelter in WV.  Missy will crouch to the ground if you lean over her and is always trying to please.  She loves people and is said to be a bit of a hunter when it comes to squirrels.   She is best in a home without cats.  Missy really wants a person to love.  Is that you?  Click here to fill out an application if you are interested in a great little dog who just needs a bit of self-confidence.

BULLET*
Handsome

While "Bullet" was probably an appropriate name for an exuberant Elkhound adolescent, the only resemblance THIS Bullet has to a fired projectile is the way in which he can find his way directly into your heart.   Bullet is an active senior about 10 yrs old who has lost a lot of excess weight and is now enjoys walking with someone and does nicely on a leash.  He seems to get along well with female dogs but might be a bit pushy with other males.  He did guard his food against his "brother" Thorn so feeding time would need to be supervised if he had a canine companion.  With people, he gives very gentle kisses, is a big teddy bear, and is VERY huggable.   He loves being groomed, taking car rides, and having visitors.   He is familiar with basic commands and he would do well in a quiet home.   Bullet would be good with an older person who enjoys the company of a more sedate dog.  Would he be right for you?   If so, please click here to fill out an application and mention his name.  You can also email Bjornlass@aol.com

SAYDE MAE

Sayde Mae is a sweet 5 year old girl who is missing having a home of her own.  Unlike many ladies, she does not enjoy being groomed but would be fine in a home with cats, and preferably with a person who is experienced with the independent nature of this breed.   She was quick to alert her former owners to all the goings-on in her neighborhood and might do best in a calm environment.   If your home sounds right for Sayde, please click here to fill out an application  and mention her name.  You can also email Bjornlass@aol.com for more information.

THORN*
HOW can you resist this smile???

Thorn (aka “Meatloaf”) is a big 9 year old boy.  This tall fellow (who may be part husky, though he looks just like a big elkhound) is on a weight reduction program to get him back into shape -need a walking companion?  Thorn may just be the guy for you!  He gets along well with cats, dogs and people and knows his basic commands.  He loves to play tug of war and go for car rides.  He will bark at people he doesn’t know and would be a good watch dog…please click here to fill out an application on this site and mention his name.   You can also email Bjornlass@aol.com for more information.

SCARLETT & BUDDY
Sad seniors
Sponsored by Dennis - thank you

Scarlett

Buddy

This darling pair of seniors lost their lifelong home when their owners decided to move.   Scarlett and Buddy are 12 and quite happy to be out of the shelter,  but they don't understand why they aren't home.   Scarlett is delighted to prance around and show you how happy she is that you came to visit while Buddy just loves to sit and be petted or lie in a cool hole in the ground.   What they need is a nice home, a good safe yard, and some one to love to make this abandoned pair feel special again.   Do you have a heart and home big enough to see them through their golden years?   Click here to fill out the application for this wonderful pair.

SMOKEY*
COURTESY POST for
Animal Rescue and Referral Inc. in Richboro

URGENT: ANOTHER HOME IS NEEDED FOR SMOKEY!

Smokey's very kind foster mom has continued to love and care for Smokey with all her heart but she and her family have to give her up. Smokey is very happy in this home but the family's cats are not. The cats are afraid of Smokey and won't come downstairs where they loved to roam before Smokey arrived. It is not fair for the cats to live this way. The situation hasn't gotten any better as time goes by.  Poor Smokey- She really is a great companion dog.  She is an 11 yr old going on 7, a shepherd/keeshond (or maybe an elkhound?)  who is spayed, housebroken, and current on shots.  She loves to play and is gentle and kind.  She deserves to live out her golden years without cats but with a family who has given her as much love as her present foster family has. .

If you want to open your Heart and Home to Smokey, call the Animal Rescue and Referral at  215-322-9251 or see more at their Petfinder site by clicking here.
